5 no brainer tips that will help you maintain your moving goals with a positive and flexible attitude. At the end of the day, our life is on the road, we need to keep moving!

If we lived in the perfect world, we could spend as much time as we wanted dedicated to getting fit, but unfortunately the world and our lives aren’t perfect and we have to be flexible with getting enough physical activity in.

Keep in mind doing 10 minutes of some exercise is better than no exercise at all.

Besides, we get busy, emergencies and unexpected events happen, things come up that are out of our control and we sometimes get thrown off schedule, but when this happens, keep going and adapt. I know you like to get to the gym each day at certain time for your work outs, but breath, its okay to keep moving when life happens!

1. If you can’t make it to your normal scheduled class, try another class.

If you normally go to a 6:00 pm class and you’re running late, try a 6:30 pm class. If there isn’t one available, get creative in the gym and try a new piece of cardio equipment or resistance training machine. Do not leave the gym without doing something healthy for yourself.

2. Can’t make it to the gym? Go for a walk.

You don’t have to attend the gym to get fit. If you can’t make it on a particular day, go for a walk. Walking is a great way to relieve stress and clear your mind.

3. Keep an extra set of gym clothes and shoes in your car.

If you have to go back home to get your workout clothes, it is more likely you’re not going back to the gym. Therefore, always keep an extra set of gym clothes and shoes in your trunk. Consider this your emergency gym kit.

4. You wake up late – make the most of the time you have.

If you don’t wake up when the alarm goes off and all you have is 10 minutes to exercise, do something. Keep in mind doing 10 minutes of some exercise is better than no exercise at all.

5. Your boss tells you that you have to work later than planned.

If you have to work longer than expected and you’re going to miss your workout, take a brisk walk around your office building. If you have stair cases in your building, take the stairs for an allotted period of time. Don’t panic, life happens, just keep moving.
