Essential oils can help you relax, sleep better and improve your skin and digestion. If you never tried essential oils before, here are 3 that everyone must try.

Essential oils are organic compounds extracted from the bark, flower, fruit, leaf seed or root of a plant. They are highly concentrated and often one drop can do the trick. Essential oils have been used for over 5,000 years and are most often diffused in the air and applied topically with dilution. 

Every oil has its benefits but these three should probably be owned by everyone. I know I use these almost daily.

1. Lavender
Think of lavender as “all things calming”. This oil can help with relaxation, calming, skin irritations and muscle tension.

2. Melaluca
Also known as Tea Tree Oil. It is known for its cleaning and rejuvenating effect on the skin. It promotes healthy immune function and can be anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

3. Lemon
This oil is great to use in homemade cleaning products because it cleanses and purifies the air and surfaces. It cleanses the body and aids in digestion. It promotes a positive mood and smells yummy.

If you decide to use essential oils you may want to ask for more information from someone who is knowledgeable of them and do your research on which company you buy from. All essential oil companies and products are not created equally.
