There are two types of people in this world; people who kick the week’s butt and relax on the weekend, and people who try to kick butt on the weekends because of their busy schedules. I try to sweat as much as possible during the week and do something fun and active on the weekends with my family. I do find that I can easily go into full on “I want to do nothing” relaxation mode. Here are a few tips to motivate you to keep moving even on your days off!
1. Active Activities! I mentioned that I like to do something active and fun with my family. I think doing something fun that incorporates sweating and moving is a great way to workout without going to the gym or having as much structure.
Some fun examples: hiking, swimming, kayaking, tennis, running and walking.
2. Dress The Part! A good outfit can change my mood almost instantly. Try a fun bright color and a some flattering stitching and you are good to go! Maybe even pair it with some accessories like a sparkly headband.
3. Wake Up! Don’t sleep too late on the weekends. Definitely catch some Z’s but make it a point to stick to somewhat of a routine. It’s also helpful to sweat in the morning so you can fit it into your schedule. It will leave time to go out, have fun and chill out too!
4. Feeling Accomplished! On Monday when the work week begins, you will already feel accomplished and be in the “workout mode.”
